Privacy Policy
The short version: WebToolz processes your files and text inside your own browser. We do not receive them, so we cannot store, read or share them.
Last updated: 27 August 2026
1. Who we are
This policy covers the website webtoolz.online ("WebToolz", "we", "us"). You can reach us at bharthi1385@gmail.com about anything in this document.
2. The files and text you put into our tools
Every tool on WebToolz runs as JavaScript inside your web browser. When you select a PDF, an image, or type text into a tool:
- The content is read into your browser's memory using standard web APIs.
- It is processed on your device by code that is already loaded in the page.
- The result is handed back to you as a download or displayed on screen.
At no point is that content transmitted to us or to any third party. There is no upload endpoint on this site. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use any tool — you will see no request carrying your data. You can also disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools will continue to work.
Because we never receive your content, we cannot recover it for you, and we cannot be compelled to hand it over.
3. Information stored on your device
WebToolz uses your browser's local storage for a single purpose: remembering
whether you chose light or dark mode, under the key
webtoolz-theme. That value stays in your browser, is never sent to
us, and can be removed at any time by clearing site data for this domain. If your
browser blocks storage, the site falls back to your operating system's colour
preference and everything else works normally.
Some tools keep information in memory only for the length of your visit — for example the running totals in the coin flip tool, or a countdown date carried in the page URL when you use the share link. Closing the tab discards it.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or browser fingerprinting.
4. Information we receive automatically
WebToolz is a static website. Like any website, the server or content delivery network that serves the pages may keep standard technical logs — such as IP address, browser user agent, requested file and timestamp — for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. These logs are about page requests, not about the contents of your files, and are retained only as long as needed for those purposes.
We do not run third-party analytics, advertising networks or social media tracking pixels on this site. Fonts and libraries are self-hosted rather than loaded from a public CDN, so using WebToolz does not disclose your visit to another company.
5. When you contact us
The contact form does not submit data to a server. It validates what you have typed and then opens your own email application with a pre-filled message. Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to press send in your email client.
If you do email us, we hold your message and address for as long as it takes to deal with your query and keep a reasonable record of correspondence. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not share your address with anyone.
Please do not attach files to support emails. We do not want or need them.
6. Legal bases and your rights
Where data protection law such as the UK GDPR, EU GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act applies, our lawful basis for handling correspondence is our legitimate interest in answering it, and our basis for server logs is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and available.
You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to object to our processing of it, and to complain to your national data protection authority. Since the only personal data we normally hold is an email you sent us, most requests are quick to satisfy. Write to bharthi1385@gmail.com.
7. Children
WebToolz is a general-purpose utility site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
8. Third-party links
Pages on this site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply once you leave webtoolz.online.
9. Open-source components
Some tools use open-source JavaScript libraries for PDF and QR code handling. These files are bundled with the site and served from our own domain — they are not fetched from an external CDN — and they run entirely in your browser under the same conditions described above.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be described in plain language rather than buried in a redline.
